As a child of communist Vietnam, I rose to become one of the nation's top students and earned a full scholarship abroad — a bachelor's in Kyiv and a PhD in Moscow during a time of great political change. My wife and I have lived in six countries and visited over 70, and we chose Canada for its diversity, inclusivity, and democracy.
Born during the war, I lost 35% of my hearing in a bombing when I was six. It taught me to listen — closely, and to everyone. I've seen ideology-driven systems fail. I believe in practical solutions that work for real people, and I'm committed to being available to hear what Ward 4 actually needs.
